How to join a household if you were invited, answers to the questions people ask before they download, and a real person at the end of the email address.
Using Ron
After the invite.
Join, the three doors, who's involved versus drivers, and the short how-tos.
I was invited. How do I join the household?
Install Ron from the invite / TestFlight, sign in with Apple, then open the Family invite in Messages or Mail and tap Open, then Join. You are in when Today shows the shared calendar and meals. If you were invited, do not start your own household. Stuck on the wrong one? Leave it in Family and ask for a fresh invite.
What are the three doors?
Install is TestFlight / App Store. Household is a Family invite, then Join. Premium share is Apple Family Sharing, and it is optional. They are separate doors — mixing them up is the usual reason something looks broken.
I joined, but I don't have Premium. Is the household broken?
No. After Join, not having Premium is door 3: Apple Family Sharing. It is optional and separate from the household. Calendar, chores, pantry, and meals still work.
What's the difference between who's involved and drivers?
Who's involved / attending is people actually at the event during that window. Drivers are drop-off or pickup only — they are not “busy” for the whole event block. For Pre-K, school, or sports, the child stays involved; parents who only drive leave themselves off Who's involved and set themselves as drivers.
How do chores, pantry, and calendar edits work?
Chores: tap a day for actions, then Assign this day or From now on. Pantry: Need more puts the item on the grocery list. Calendar: This event only versus the whole series.
How do I rename, reschedule, or delete a task?
To rename, reschedule, or delete a task, edit it in Reminders — Ron syncs the list.
I'm on TestFlight. What should I try, and how do I report a problem?
Try Join, Today's brief, a chore, and one Ask Ron question. Report with a screenshot to support@getron.app, or through TestFlight feedback.

Frequently asked
Before you download.
When will Ron be available?
Ron is in active development and will be submitted to the Apple App Store shortly. Join the notify list and we will email you the day it is approved. If you opt in, we will also email a TestFlight invite when a beta build is ready. Those are the only emails we send.
What do I need to run Ron?
An iPhone 15 Pro or newer running iOS 26 or newer. Those are hard minimums rather than recommendations: Ron reasons using Apple's on-device foundation models, and that framework is only available on hardware that supports Apple Intelligence. You do not need an internet connection for Ron to think.
What platforms will Ron support?
iOS first. We are focused on making the iPhone experience excellent before expanding to other platforms.
Is Ron designed for children to use?
Ron is built for adults managing a household. Kid Mode is an optional simpler view — not parental control — locked behind a parent PIN that shows a child their own day and chores. Parents stay in control of what is visible.
What will Ron cost?
The household organizer is free forever. Ron Premium is an optional assistant. There is a 7-day free trial, and Family Sharing is included. The numbers are on the pricing page.
How does Ron handle our family's data?
Your household stays on the iPhone and, if you share a family, in your iCloud. Ron reasons with Apple's on-device foundation models — we do not send family content to an AI provider. Weather and maps go to Apple. If you turn on Shop grocery lists at Walmart, search text and a store location go through a catalog proxy we operate, then to Walmart. We do not host a copy of your family.
Does that mean my data is not backed up anywhere?
We do not host a backup. If iCloud Backup is on, Ron's on-device data is in that backup on Apple's terms. A shared household also syncs through your iCloud (CloudKit). If you delete Ron and have no Apple backup and no other family member's copy, that local data is gone. That is deliberate: no copy on our side means no copy for us to lose.
Does Ron work if more than one adult runs the household?
Yes. Ron is built for households rather than individuals, so multiple adults share the same picture — the same schedule, the same chores, the same follow-ups — instead of each keeping a private list.
