Join a household.

If you were invited, this is how you get in — and how chores, pantry, and calendar work once you are there. Do not start your own household.

How to join

  1. Install Ron from the invite / TestFlight.
  2. Sign in with Apple.
  3. Open the Family invite in Messages or Mail. Tap Open, then Join.

You are in when Today shows the shared calendar and meals.

Stuck? Leave the wrong household in Family, then ask for a fresh invite.

Three doors

Ron has three separate doors. Mixing them up is the usual reason something looks broken.

  1. Install = TestFlight / App Store
  2. Household = Family invite → Join
  3. Premium share = Apple Family Sharing (optional)

Who’s involved vs drivers

These are not the same people.

  • Who’s involved / attending — people actually at the event during that window.
  • Drivers — drop-off or pickup only. They are not “busy” for the whole event block.

Example: Pre-K, school, or sports — the child stays involved. Parents who only drive leave themselves off Who’s involved and set themselves as drivers.

Chores

Tap a day for actions. Assign this day is just that date. From now on changes the standing assignment.

Pantry

Need more puts it on the grocery list.

Calendar

Choose This event only or the whole series.

After Join, no Premium?

That is door 3, not a broken household. Premium is shared through Apple Family Sharing, and it is optional. The organizer — calendar, chores, pantry, meals — still works.
